Lisa Barlow ‘weirded out’ by new home lacking one boujee aspect she ‘grew up with’

Lisa Barlow proves how boujee she is this November as she spills the tea on her brand-new home. The RHOSLC star’s home is still under construction. Lisa’s architect has been given some strict instructions as to what she’s after and she really wants to incorporate one element she “grew up with” – a swimming pool.

This fall, Lisa is not only appearing on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, but the Bravo star is branching out and starring on another new reality TV show, Sold in SLC. She explains how her new home came about after working with her friend, Sarah Martindale, and Sarah’s husband, Chris. Lisa says they’re “amazing real estate agents.”

Lisa Barlow delves into more reality TV drama

Lisa gets talking about Sold in SLC this November, in an interview with Bravo TV’s RHOSLC AfterShow.

Speaking of Sarah and Chris, Lisa says: “They also do a lot of home flips. They’ll take a very vintage house and turn it into absolute luxury with all the features you want…”

She moves on to talk about the home she’s having built in Alpine, Utah. Lisa explains how she looks for a “non-cluttered house” adding: “I don’t like excess in my home, except for in my closet.”

The RHOSLC star explains how she’s currently in the middle of building a home which she says features “clean lines,” and “90-degree angles only.”

Lisa adds: “Nothing can be rounded, I don’t want arches.”

The Bravo star’s home is set to be “very warm,” but her husband is keen on having concrete floors throughout.

Lisa and John’s requirements don’t stop there as the Salt Lake City dwellers are opting for all the bells and whistles.

Lisa is having a spray tan room put into her guest house with washable walls. She explains: “You can like spray it down and have a drink.”

The emphasis is clearly on appearances as Lisa adds there’ll be “ambient lighting throughout the whole house, including the floorboards, and three-quarters of the way up on the walls,” so “everyone looks pretty in her house all the time.”

Lisa’s ‘boujiness’ doesn’t stop there

RHOSLC’s Lisa teased how she wasn’t going to scrimp when it came to her wardrobe and she wasn’t joking.

She reveals: “I’ve asked our architect to do a 2,000-square-foot closet for me.”

The star explains how she has “a room behind my closet where I can put all my fur coats,” but adds the kitchen is where she thinks most people will be “hanging out.”

Moving onto the “indoor-outdoor living” aspect of the new home, Lisa reflects on her past and says one part of the home that’s lacking weirds her out.

“I grew up with a pool so it’s weird that we don’t have one… and that we’ve never had one, that’s hard for me,” she explains.

“We’re definitely gonna have a pool. Everything in the backyard will face mountains,” she adds.
