RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is back this Autumn and La Voix has the judges and viewers hysterically laughing. From paying homage to Princess Diana to showing off her “range” as Shirley Bassey, La Voix has been pulling out all the stops during series 6.
As La Voix continues to smash the BBC show challenges, gaining wins during episodes 5, 6, and 7, it’s clear to see she has some serious talent. The RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star’s social media expertise may not be getting her any trophies any time soon, however, as she’s now being hailed “the people’s nan” on Reddit.
La Voix is ‘the people’s nan’
As if La Voix’s Drag Race performances weren’t giving enough comedy value this November, her social media efforts also appear to have fans in stitches.
As La Voix thanks people for their support and comments on her Instagram page, she responds without clicking the ‘reply’ button resulting in all of her comments “looking like she’s talking to herself.”
Tickled fans take to Reddit over the star’s online faux pas and label the star the “people’s nan.”
Some comment on how La Voix really isn’t that old: “She’s not even that old (44 years old) but she acts 64 I love it.”
And more can’t help but share how much the IG mishap made them giggle, writing: “Lmao why is this legitimately making me laugh so hard” and “This might be the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.”
There’s a ‘bonus round’, too
Following La Voix’s commenting blunder, other fans are taking to the same Reddit thread to say they “love their grandmothers” even more.
Sharing a screenshot of the drag queen’s IG Stories, one comments: “Bonus: La Voix and Dita reposting a blank Instagram story multiple times.”
The Story repost seems to have gotten to fans even more than La Voix’s earlier mistake. One person writes: “This is sending so bad, I love queens who don’t know how to use social media.”
Another pens: “Basically old beloved biddies use Instagram wrong and just repost a bunch of literal nothing.”
More say the IG creation is “Literally art” with another writing: “They should print this on a t-shirt. It’s hilarious and the color palette is great.”
“I love the older queens who started out before social media because their social media presence is the best thing,” adds another fan.
