Fans are “really missing Jessie Holmes” on Life Below Zero these days, according to social media. More are fearing the future for Sue Aikins, 61, on the National Geographic show, with some of her diehard fans expressing worries the star is set to “retire.”
Sue Aikins is a living legend by the looks of the love she’s getting on Facebook pages these days. The Life Below Zero star has been appearing on the National Geographic show for more than 10 years. Life in the wilderness involves hunting bears and protecting herself from predators on the daily. So, Sue is likely cut out for almost anything life throws her way. But, fans are expressing their fears this fall.
‘Sue Aikins makes the show’
According to Life Below Zero fans, Sue “makes the show.”
Following the departure of Jessie Holmes, viewers are adoring the fact Sue is still around with many taking to a Facebook thread post to say: “Loved seeing Ricky and Sue!”
More people describe the star as a “fighter” and another writes: “Sue is an absolute superwoman even though she’s getting older and such an inspiration.”
Even more fans chime in with similar vibes, commenting: “I’m glad Sue, Andy. Ricko and the Hailstones are featured!”
Retirement isn’t coming soon
As some fans are commenting on how Sue’s “getting older,” others are admiring her tough spirit and her “attitude of never giving up.”
However, the idea of her “aging” poses some questions from viewers about “retirement.”
More took to a Reddit thread some months back to say they thought the star was speaking of “getting older” quite frequently.
One asks: “What happens to Kavik when Sue retires?”
Life Behind Life Below Zero’s official Facebook page responds: “I feel like Kavik will live on! Sue might never retire.”
For now, it seems fans can rest easy knowing Sue is going to still be on the show.
One comments: “Sue is amazing! She’s a powerhouse woman,” as she enjoys her eleventh year on the show.
