Love Is Blind is such a hit with reality TV fans that Netflix is churning out spin-offs like there’s no tomorrow. Attempting to prove people can fall for one another without looks being involved, the Love Is Blind experiment goes global. This fall, viewers were treated to a new spin-off, Love Is Blind Habibi. And of the cast members, one has emerged as a “feminist icon,” for some fans.
UAE-based business owner Karma is 29 years old. She headed into the Netflix show looking to find ‘the one’ just like the rest of her cast mates. The Love Is Blind Habibi star was looking for a partner who embraces life, just like her. Although, not all viewers are convinced she appeared on the series for the right reasons.
Love Is Blind Habibi’s ‘classy’ Karma
After much anticipation, the Love Is Blind Habibi reunion episode dropped on November 1.
Viewers tuning in get to find out which couples stayed together and how many decided to call it quits after the reality TV experiment.
Karma is one of the show’s singletons, but she’s gaining fans and followers big time for her “elegant” and “classy” ways.
Many commend Karma for “defending Noor” at the reunion and more go as far as to say she’s a “feminist icon.”
Some take to Reddit following the reunion episode to write: “Karma was so composed and resolute.”
More say they’re “blown away” by her, and another comments how they “aspire to be like Karma and Safa combined.”
Another pens: “Initially I perceived Karma as just another silly girl, but how she stood up for herself without getting angry and being super warm and articulate the whole time was the prime example of positive female energy in all of its power. It was super impressive.”
Critics think Karma was there for ‘fame’
In another Reddit discussion about Karma and Ammar, some critics suggest Karma was only on the show to get famous.
One comments: “He was on the show to find a wife, she was on the show for the fame.”
Another says: “…and he was clearly seriously into her more than she was into him, she clearly mainly wanted the fame…”
A third commenter suggests: “I saw her Instagram. The girl was in the show for the fame. She wants to be an actor so badly…”
A quick peek at Karma’s IG page and she writes in her bio: “Born to perform.”
She describes herself as an “artist” and boasts around 40,000 followers.
Karma isn’t the only Love Is Blind Habibi star critics have speculated was only on the show for “fame.”
During the season, Asma was called out for the same reason. Another star who ended the show a single lady.
Whether the cast members were on the series for true love or not, they have certainly come out of the experiment shining stars as they appear to have many more supporters than critics following the show.
