Married At First Sight UK is back for its ninth season this Autumn. The couples have been matched and married and by episode 3 they’re all jetting off on their honeymoons. As the all-new episodes play out, MAFS UK fans may feel they recognize one participant, Charlie Curtis, from another reality show, Lovestruck High.

Charlie is matched with Eve Reid during the series 9 experiment. Charlie is here for the couple’s fast-moving romance, but “more reserved” Eve begins to struggle with the amount of “space” she has while in Mexico. The Married At First Sight UK star tells the cameras: “I need patience from Charlie.”

Charlie is no stranger to reality TV

As E4 viewers get to know the Married At First Sight UK cast, some may recognize Charlie instantly.

She’s no stranger to reality TV and appeared on Amazon Prime show Lovestruck High.

The series came out in May 2022 and saw “jocks and nerds” embark on a dating show with an American high school theme.

Charlie was one of the show’s singletons along with The Only Way Is Essex star Junaid Ahmed.

Charlie’s time on Lovestruck High

Charlie is not just looking for love on Married At First Sight UK, she’s gone the whole hog and gotten married.

It’s not the first time she’s put herself out there in a bid for romance as Lovestruck High was also a dating show.

Taking to Instagram following her time on the Amazon Prime show, Charlie, then 29, wrote:

“What an incredible 24 hrs it has been… I can’t begin to express how thankful I am for this opportunity! I am so grateful for all the love and support I have received from everyone!! Last night was a special evening surrounded by my nearest and dearest, I am forever grateful for your support… You know exactly who you are! It’s only onwards and upwards from here!”

She didn’t find love on the show, but she wrote of her “childhood dream coming true,” and also penned in another post: “I’ll forever be grateful that I got the chance to be a part of the OG Cast in the first ever series of Lovestruck High!”
