Tommy Fury ‘dialled in’ to the gym but Jake Quickenden wants to see him in the jungle

It’s safe to say last year’s I’m A Celebrity series was epic. Almost 11 million people tuned in to see Jamie Lynn Spears, Josie Gibson, Nigel Farage, Tony Bellew, Sam Thompson, and co all living in camp together. The celebrities traded up their luxury lives for a whirl at life in the Jungle and, of course, it always makes for great TV.

This September, the rumor mill is churning away as many people are speculating who is going to head into the Australian jungle this year. The ITV show usually kicks off in November. So, there’s not long to go. As the launch approaches, former campmate Jake Quickenden, 36, believes Tommy Fury, 25, should be next up to head into the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

Jake Quickenden would like to see boxer in the jungle

Tommy Fury is famed for being a Love Island star. He and Molly Mae Hague, 25, didn’t win the ITV show back in 2019, but they went on to become the nation’s sweethearts until their split.

Now, Tommy is “dialled in” as he puts it on Instagram. By the looks of things, the boxer is training and getting his protein in like there’s no tomorrow.

In Jake Quickenden’s eyes, he wants to see Tommy trade up the gym for the Aussie jungle this year.

Speaking exclusively to Fake Bake at the NTAs, Jake said:

“I think Tommy Fury would be funny in there, why not! It’s nice when someone you don’t really know much about goes in there and they surprise you. People will find someone to love. I went in there unknown and finished second, I think that’s one of the best things about it.”

Tommy has laid low since Love Island

Jake calling for Tommy to be cast as an I’m A Celeb campmate wouldn’t be the first time people have wanted the boxer to take up more TV gigs.

Since appearing on Love Island five years ago, Tommy starred in The Boxer and The Ballroom Dancer alongside fellow Love Islander Curtis Pritchard.

He also appeared in Netflix‘s At Home with the Furys last year, but the show was largely focused around his brother, Tyson Fury.

As well as Jake pushing for Tommy to fly over to Oz, Metro reports he’s one of the rumored celebs to be taking part this year as well as Zara McDermott and Phillip Schofield.
