The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp hasn’t had an easy ride in the past few years. She is still in the midst of a skin cancer battle. As well as dealing with health worries, Teddi now shares she’s ending her marriage. The former Real Housewife takes to social media to share she filed for divorce from her husband, Edwin Arroyave, this fall.
Despite leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills four years ago, Teddi has remained in the Bravo spotlight as she returned to the show as a guest star. She also co-hosts Two T’s In A Pod with RHOC’s Tamra Judge these days.
Teddi Mellencamp files for divorce
On November 2, 2024, Teddi took to Instagram to share she has “made the difficult decision to file for divorce” from her husband of 13 years, Edwin.
Teddi and Edwin tied the knot in 2011 and have a big family including four kids.
The former RHOBH star explains in her post how her “children are her priority” as she navigates divorce.
Teddi writes: “…My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”
The mom continues: “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest, and vulnerable was the best path forward.”
Four years ago, both Teddi and Edwin were singing one another’s praises on IG. The two took to social media on their ninth wedding anniversary to say how “blessed” they felt and how much they loved one another.
Teddi has also publicly thanked her husband for being a great support to her throughout her melanoma treatment in recent years. In November last year, she penned: “So often we want to be strong for our partner, pretending to be super-human for the sake of optics or a fear of being seen as weak… But last night, I felt a strength from Edwin that radiated through both of us.”
Teddi is still fighting cancer
As Teddi files for divorce this fall, she explains her kids are her number one priority.
The mom not only has her family to hold together, and a divorce to navigate, but she is also still battling cancer after a melanoma diagnosis two and a half years ago.
Since her diagnosis, Teddi writes of how she’s felt “anger, sadness, grief, and confusion.”
However, she takes to IG to share she’s now landed on another emotion: “Gratitude.”
The former RHOBH star raises melanoma awareness these days and is dubbed a “warrior” by many of her friends and co-stars including RHODubai’s Chanel Ayan.
